We want to make the world a more equitable and sustainable place, and until we recently we did this by bringing customers to us using paid marketing (about 10% of our turnover) but we have had a bit of a rethink.
The PLASTIC TAX and PLASTIC BAN were well meaning but poorly thought out legislation, as it means companies like ours that don't use plastics in our products, have to pay a tax for not inserting 30% recycled plastics.
This legislation along with a 40% increase in material costs, has meant that we should increase our prices by 60%, but let's be honest , no matter how ethically and environmentally engaged you are , you aren't going to pay 60% more for our products.
So we did a bit of thinking out of the box (as our American Cousins would say) and changed some of the materials we use to eliminate the extra costs but this alone wasn't going to do it, so another idea we had is why pay for marketing, lets go ORGANIC.
This basically means we will no longer be paying for marketing and this is where you come in….
