Change Has arrived

So we enter a new year and big changes are here, we hope you love the changes we are making and in the interest of abiding by our transparency policy any that may have a negative side will be explained.

 

  1. We are reintroducing the repeat customer discount, this was originally removed so we could apply discounts businesses that subscribe but we felt that although the intention was to make things easier for our customers, we didn't realise how much our customers valued these discounts, we got it wrong (more on this later).
  2. We have been working on making things easier to find , so we have updated our search feature and added an updated filter option, now if there are too many options, click the filter and find just the products you are interested in, this is ongoing and some products may take us to April , this is a very laborious and time consuming feature but we feel it will greatly improve things for our customers, even if it makes a lot of work for our small team.
  3. We have introduced a simple discount system to make it clearer what discounts there are for bulk purchases ( Find out more here) , this should also have a benefit for our team as about 30% of all calls and emails are about what discounts someone get, so hopefully this is simpler and clearer and we have funded this by eliminating all spend on marketing ( so your reviews are really important to us now) and reducing our head count from 15 to 2 ( yes we are sadly down to 2 people) and we now subcontract the missing roles to our partners.
  4. We have been reducing our low selling items to concentrate on high selling and new products ( we have limited room, so it's one in and one out), so you may see some products dissapear but you should usually see something new filling it's place.
  5. We are now concentrating on making more of our products recyclable, we know this isn't the best environment option but it is the one favoured by the UK , so all of our products will always be compostable but we are aiming for nearly all of them to also be recyclable so no matter how you dispose of our products, there is always an environmental upside.
  6. We are also looking at concentrating on key growth areas, so you should start to see more bakery related products when space allows at the expense of our less successful products.

I appreciate some of these changes may come as a frustration but I believe the changes will have a long term positive effect for our customers.
