Mission focussed at the expense of profitability
We have been so driven in our mission to eliminate single use plastics, that we took our hands off the wheel and forgot all about survival, and we do mean survival as most of our competitors have sold up or left the market, and we really believe we have something special to offer future generations.
With this in mind we have looked at our range and come to the conclusion it's just too big for what the market currently needs, so you will see some reductions in the amount of products we hold in stock, we will still make our entire range, but with the exception of our top 100 , these will all be made to minimum order quantities and will no longer be stock lines
Surviving the turbulent times.
This is essential for our long term survival as I'm sure we don't need to tell you , these are challenging times, so this range reduction and our new emphasis on our top 100 products will mitigate and hopefully eliminate any potential price increases (I've heard this referred to as creative thinking).
This means we have created our biggest sale (possibly ever as we can't see us repeating it) by at least 25% off (35% off with your VIP discount ) while stocks last.
We have also been looking at ways of reducing our prices, in fact we have actually reduced the bulk of our products by an average of 12% by buying in bulk and reducing our profit margins, this of course has created an issue of a warehouse bursting to capacity and The Pure Option running at a loss for the last 5 months.
Obviously this can't continue if we want to stay in business and help to create a more sustainable world.
Staying British & Independent
We want to be honest about things and we have received a number of enquiries about buying our business and due to how challenging things have been, we seriously considered throwing the towel in, but we feel we have a responsibility to more than ourselves , so the needs of our incredible team, future generations and more widely the needs of this country we love must come first.
So if we took the money our company would no longer be family owned and British and just as importantly designed with social good to the core, so we have decided to be the change the current economics of the country demand.
So we are planning on being here for our customers, this incredible country, our amazing team and the wider world, we just don't want to be a profit cog in a larger wheel , we want to be a socially responsible driver of change.
