Full of Plant Based Goodness

Normal masks are made of paper and any number of other materials , we have found a range of chemicals and plastics in other masks, but our have none of these strange additions.

They are made from sustainable sourced paper and corn based PLA, so they are 100% natural.

Something to be aware of that is as these masks are made from plants, they do have a slight plant based smell which actually helps with breathing and neutralises smells and odours, they actually have natural odour eliminating properties and you should find breathing easier in these nature based masks.

Its an easy win

Buying our products are an easy win as 100% of or compostable products are made from plants, so end to end they are great for the planet and whether they end up in landfill or incineration they don't release toxic emissions and don't harm the environment, but if they are disposed of properly they will actually help the environment, if you add them to your food waste collection ( let your waste company know they aren't plastic) with one of our plant based bio bags and they actually benefit the environment, it's your choice as just switching is great for the planet but proper disposable actually adds additional carbon savings , if in doubt get in touch as we don't just want to sell , we want to help you make the best decision for your business, your customers and the environment ( not a lecture but just wanted to make you aware of all the options).

Composting - Please use only specialised companies that have an expertise in PPE & compostable products disposal or add them to your home composter if you are confident that you do not have covid ( you do so at your own risk), please note that the materials we use are tested from compostability but these masks are so new we haven't tested them in a home composter but it is worth adding that home composting times vary based on the health , location etc of your home composter.

Landfill - This is becoming rarer and rarer as new general waste collections typically go to an Energy for Waste facility ( EFW facilities burn the waste to create carbon saving electricity) but should you be in an area that hasn't moved over to EFW facilities yet and it is sent to landfill, it will break down into compost and will actually benefit the environment when it breaks down ( it's worth knowing in layered landfill times are longer to break down).

EFW - This is the most common route these days for waste ( or it is in the UK, we can't comment around the world) so when our masks are incinerated they create green electricity and just as importantly they don't release harmful toxic emissions, they are plants after all.

Compost Heaps - These masks are made from corn and paper so they are completely compostable and they have been certified to EN13432 , so they are compostable and biodegradable but due to the risk of contamination from the masks and there being no research to show how long covid etc can exist in soil, we wouldn't recommend doing this unless you are 100% certain that you have no contamination risk.
